Stop building offers nobody asked for
Sample episode notes for the Build with Bark video on offers — listen first, then stack the work people already want.

This is a sample / example post. It is here so the YouTube collection has a second note you can replace. The film is on Build with Bark: stop building offers nobody asked for.
The educational version, without the dunk
It is easy to mock other people’s products. It is harder to admit that most unused offers start as a private hunch: I could make this, therefore someone should want it.
The useful question is smaller.
What has already been asked for — out loud, in reviews, in DMs, in the comments you were tempted to ignore?
That is not market research theater. That is listening as a craft.
A layer you can actually run
- Collect the asks. Not vibes. Phrases people used. Screenshot them into a note.
- Name the job. One sentence: this is for people who need X when Y.
- Make the smallest true version. A listing, a video, a download. Not a catalog.
- Watch what they do, not what they compliment.
If nobody asked, you may still make the thing — as practice, as art, as a gift to yourself. Just do not confuse that with a shop strategy.
How this pairs with Etsy
An Etsy shop is a pile of offers with photos. If the pile is all things you were excited to make, and none of the things buyers kept requesting, the shop will feel busy and quiet at the same time.
The next sample in the Etsy collection is about photographing a listing. That is bark. This post is roots. Read them in either order; they are meant to stack.
